Question by irishlassie: My boyfriend wants me to wear the diamond wedding band he bought before we are officially engaged?
I know this sounds confusing but my boyfriend and I know we will get married someday and already purchased our wedding bands. Due to working together and the merging of families we are going to wait awhile to get married or engaged. He wants me to wear my wedding band now on my ring finger and tell anyone who asks that is is a “gift”. I think this is confusing and will have everyone thinking we are engaged. Plus it will eventually be my wedding band. And we will not be doing the traditional diamond solitaire ring so I will not be getting any other engagement ring down the road. I told him I wouldn’t wear it until we are officially engaged or married. Or maybe wear it on the other hand? What do you all think?
Also forgot to mention why we have the rings. They were limited edition from Tiffany’s and wouldn’t be around long so we bought them ahead.

Get anecklace and wear it there. If you wear it now it wont have real meaning when u do get married.

I LOVE wedding favors. As much as I love them, I understand alot of guests leave them behind – I have lots of fancy wedding favors I received as a guest that I didnt really use at all. So I dont want to waste money and decided to go for an idea Ive seen alot in the weddings category here – the edible wedding favor.
My brother just got married and they had chocolate covered fortune cookies with a message from themselves at the place settings. They went down a storm and everyone ate them or took them home.Since I dont want to repeat the fortune cookie favor, how about this – each guest gets a little organza bag filled with mini chocolate hearts in our favorite colors with a tag saying “your presence was a sweet gift”
What do you think? Im sure no ones going to waste chocolate and even if some get left behind the kiddies will scoop them up!

Sounds good, but I would think you should put something like this on the tag. “Thank you for joining us on our special day” with yours and his name on it and the date..

is it rude to have a pre printed thank you card for a wedding? my husband and i moved 3/4 of the way across the country right after our wedding with the military, i’m pregnant and pretty sick and have our 2 1/2 year old to take care of on top of unpacking and housework, so the pre printed our photographer suggested would be SO much easier (we had 100+ people at our wedding) but i don’t want to be rude. i thought maybe they were just trying to get more money out of us, but the preprinted and blank cards are the same price. she said a lot of people are doing it now. also, if it IS okay to do, what should the inside say? not everyone that came to the wedding got us a present…. and some just gave checks so i don’t want to say “gift”…. and we’re sending some to vendors (they asked). how would i encompass that with one ‘verse’?
